I sent out the following social media post before the market opened on Thursday. The chart sequence was from the day before (Wednesday).
But then Thursday happened.
Wow!
Volatility is well and truly back.
So now Thursday shifts to the forefront of my plans for weekend replay. Both days if time… but otherwise Thursday is one that demands study.
Exceptional moves like this provide one of my favourite options for weekend replay study.
These moves are of course not the norm. We make our living from the day to day grind of normal sessions, with much reduced daily range. But these days come around from time to time and they have potential to really make your month (or year).
They demand study.
They demand replay.
With a replay system, if you have one. But otherwise, at the very least, by stepping bar-by-bar through both the TTF and LTF charts.
Seriously… today’s article is short. And I know that some of you will feel ripped off by that. But I really would prefer those of you who trade NQ (or MNQ) to close down this browser or email and focus on the charts. Replay this session. In particular the drop from 10:15 to 10:50. Replay the session and FEEL the bearishness within the movement. And the weakness within every attempt to push higher.
And for those who don’t trade NQ or MNQ (or any other market which dropped like this), maybe take some time out to find the 1-2 outstanding moves in your market during the past week. And study them.
This opportunity has passed. But there will be more days like this in the future. Our job now is to do all we can to be ready to exploit the next opportunity.
Happy trading,
Lance Beggs
thank you sir
You’re welcome Ashish. Best of luck with your trading this week.
Dear Lance,
Thanks a lot for posting these practical examples. These help a lot. As i planned a no indicator , pure price action study, i found your blog and it made, lot of sense to me. I am not a trader as of now but am somewhat new here. I saw your interview in Chat for Traders and it is inspiring.
Thanks again.
